At an altitude of around 750 metres in Piazza Armerina,
in the province of Enna, in the lungs of Sicily, lie the
Leano Estates.
A magical atmosphere amidst the greenery of Sicily where
the real protagonists are ancient olive groves, but also the
new Monocultivar Biancolilla and Nocellara dell'Etna
plantations, almond trees and pistachio production.
The farm covers an area of 130 hectares and entered the
organic farming sector in 2013, with its own production
of organic extra virgin olive oil, tender cereals and the best
vegetables, thanks to an organic vegetable garden that is
the result of a passion for the land.
The Tenute Leano farm has the only oil mill in Sicily that
uses
Two-phase Extraction with an Amenduni decanter.
A state-of-the-art plant that uses the continuous
two-phase cycle with cold extraction
and organic method to ensure longer oil preservation, better
organoleptic characteristics, higher polyphenol content and
certified
lower acidity in the extracted oil.
