Kabardino-Balkaria has unique tourist recreational resources, which are able to provide development for most recreational activities: treatment, tourism, sport, excursions, sightseeing tours and mountaineering. Today there are 212 companies working in tourism and resorts on the territory of KBR. The republic is ready to welcome 16 000 travellers and holiday-makers at the same time. More than 1 000 000 guests visited the republic in 2022. The Ministry implements state management and regulatory and legal regulation in the resort and travel industry. It represents the potential of the resorts and spa and tourist complexes of KBR: the Russian Federal health resort Nalchik and international ski resort Prielbrusie.
