The Federal Research Center “V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops” (VNIIMK) is a leading institution in a sphere of breeding, seeds growing, and cultivation technologies of oil and essential oil crops in Russia. Here, there are developed sunflower cultivars and hybrids, cultivars of soybean, spring and winter rapeseed, turnip rape, false flax, brown, black, and white mustards, oil flax, sesame, safflower, castor plant, and varieties of such essential oil crops as lavender, mint, clary sage, and coriander, which are unique by their adaptability to the different climatic conditions. The developed by VNIIMK’s scientists cultivars and hybrids of oil crops are included into the State register of breeding achievements. They are approved officially and accepted in the production. The varieties and hybrids bred in VNIIMK guarantee high yields. All seeds satisfy the requirements of the State standard for varietal and sowing qualities.

“National Grain Center named after P.P. Lukyanenko" is one of the leading selection and seed-growing centers of grain and leguminous crops in the world. The more than century-long history of the Center is an example of the rapid development of Russian agricultural science, the dedication of talented scientists, and the demand for unique developments. Scientists from the Scientific Center for Plants im. P.P. Lukyanenko" create varieties and hybrids of grain and leguminous crops, hemp and herbs adapted to modern economic conditions, develop and improve methods of their selection and seed production, use modern achievements of biotechnology and molecular biology. More than 450 varieties of winter wheat, triticale, winter and spring barley, peas, hemp, forage grasses and corn hybrids have been transferred to agricultural production.
