The Committee on Tourism of the Pskov region is an executive authority of the region exercising state-governmental powers of an executive and administrative nature in the field of tourism activities in the territory of the region.
The main tasks of the Committee are:
definition of the main tasks in the field of tourism and priority directions of tourism development;
development, approval (approval) and implementation of strategic planning documents in the field of tourism on issues related to the powers of the subjects of the Russian Federation;
creating favorable conditions for the development of the tourism industry in the region;
creation and provision of favorable conditions for unhindered access of tourists (tourists) to tourist resources located in the region;
implementation of measures to create a navigation and orientation system in the field of tourism in the region;
assistance in promoting tourism products of the region in the domestic and global tourism markets;
implementation of measures to support priority areas of tourism development in the region, including social tourism, children's tourism and amateur tourism;
implementation of a set of measures for organizing excursions and trips with cultural and educational purposes for students in general education organizations;
organization and holding of events in the field of tourism at the regional and inter-municipal level;
participation in the implementation of intergovernmental agreements in the field of tourism;
participation in the information support of tourism, creation of tourist information centers in the region and ensuring their functioning.
