The Alabuga Special Economic Zone is the largest and most efficient SEZ in Russia and Europe with a total investment volume of 162 billion rubles. The SEZ hosts more than 30 unique import-substituting production facilities that are leaders in their respective industries.
In March 2023, Alabuga began construction of Russia's largest logistics complex named after Deng Xiaoping. The terminal is located along the M12 federal highway, has adjacency to two railway stations and close proximity to Begishev Airport, which allows the use of three of the four components in multimodal transportation.
The first phase of construction is planned to be completed by October 2024 - the launch of a railway terminal with a container yard for 100,000 TEU.
The infrastructure includes six kilometers of railway tracks with the possibility of simultaneous processing of two trains, a bonded warehouse, customs, a covered automated warehouse of class A, with additional storage areas for dangerous, oversized, temperature cargo, as well as E-com.
