Luoyang Ship Material Research Institute (LSMRI), was founded in 1961 in Beijing and moved to an ancient and famous city--Luoyang in 1971. LSMRI is a comprehensive institution that focuses on the R&D and application of shipbuilding materials.
LSMRI/SUNRUI is equipped with over 2000 advanced and automatic facilities for R&D, production and testing. The occupied areas are total 230 million square meters. More than 5000 high skilled people are working in R&D, production, marketing and management personnel team. Insisting on promote the application of scientific and technological achievements, LSMRI/SUNRUI has formed 5 Hi-tech industries including special equipment, titanium alloy material, rubber & plastic composite material, anti-corrosion & water treatment and strategic new material. At present LSMRI/SUNRUI have more than twenty kinds of industrial products which are widely used in the field of Ship & Marine, Petrochemical, Aerospace & Aviation, Transportation Infrastructure and Clean Power. These products include ship ballast water treatment system, wind turbine blade, titanium sponge, titanium alloy products, bridge accessories, special steel pump castings, anti-corrosion pipelines and fittings, railcar parts and so on. They have been exported to more than 20 countries including USA, Canada, Germany, France, Netherland, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and so on. The export ratio covers 30% of the total revenue in LSMRI/SUNRUI.
LSMRI/SUNRUI has been approved by ISO9001 and AS9100. Some special products and processes are certified by NADCAP, ABS, DNV, LIoyd’s, ASTM U, BV, USCG, GL and so on.
