Aktau Marine North Terminal is located on the East coast of the Caspian Sea and is an important part of the multimodal logistics chain. Aktau Marine North Terminal is an integral part of international TRACECA and North-South corridor, providing a way to the ports of the Caspian, Black, Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea basins, the Gulf countries and Southeast Asia and connecting emerging regions to promote trade relations. Currently Aktau Marine North Terminal operates all year round. It is a modern multi-purpose complex with an area of 39.4 ha, with transshipment capacity up to 3.0 mln. tons per year, including 2 million tons of general cargo and 1 million tons of grain cargo. Cargo transportation from North Terminal is mainly directed to the ports of Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan. Open storage areas of over 100 thousand square meters ensure efficient cargo storage – including heavy-weight cargo – as well as efficient management of container pool. Container terminal can admit up to 6,000 TEU at the same time, General Cargo Terminal, up to 170,000 tons.
