An autonomous non-profit organization for the implementation of projects in the field of urban development and digital transformation of the urban economy “Smart City Competence Center” was created on September 2, 2022. ANO "Smart City Competence Center" works in coordination with representatives of the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation responsible for the implementation of the departmental project of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation on the digitalization of urban services "Smart City". The organization was created with the aim of implementing projects and programs aimed at supporting the Subjects of the Russian Federation and Municipalities in the field of urban development and digital transformation of urban management. The goals and objectives of the ANO “Smart City Competence Center” were approved by the working group of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation for the implementation of the “Smart City” project, chaired by Minister I.E. Fayzullin.
